Zara Carbonell becomes first-ever Miss Tourism Worldwide

Zara Carbonell won the very first edition of the Miss Tourism Worldwide on Sunday, September 9, in Indonesia.

Ranking after Carbonell were Miss Thailand (1st Runner Up), Miss South Africa (2nd Runner Up), Miss France (3rd Runner Up), and Miss Siberia (4th Runner Up).

Carbonell was shown acing the question and answer portion of the pageant, as seen from a video posted by her father, actor Cris Villanueva.

“What is the accomplishment you’re most proud of?” she was asked.

“I’m very much proud to say that I’m a co-founder of a social enterprise that we have launched last December back in the Philippines, it’s a social enterprise that forwards self-awareness to the youth,” Carbonell answered.

“In fact I have given about a hundred workshops and talks to public schools, all over the country, which I’m very much excited to, hopefully, be able to share also to different nations, and it is in the power of the youth that I am inspired to be a better person and to do more for the world, thank you,” she added.
